Breach & Clear review

Breach & Clear isn't your typical Android shooter. Read our full review to find out more.

Breach & Clear is in essence a shooter, but one that looks to create a more tactical and strategic experience for players to really enjoy. To start you need to choose from a real-world squad, be it the Navy Seals, US Army or another military outfit. Each specialises in different areas, with some being more useful in certain levels than others.

After choosing your squad, you can then equip them with various equipment and weapons based on the mission you’re given. The variation on weapons and equipment is great and you get a real sense of how important it’s to choose the right equipment for your team.

Gameplay wise, each mission is different enough to keep you interested. You need to manually control each member of your squad and can keep track of their status and health on the right side of the screen. If you spread your squad out to take out different enemies or to search a room, you may find the camera angle becomes so zoomed out that it’s hard to make out which characters are where. Apart from this small mishap, Breach and Clear is a quality addition to the Play store.
