Best App Of 2012: Vote For Your Favourite App of the Year

Prefer Google Currents to Flipboard? Or perhaps VLC instead of MX Player? Well then you need to take part in Apps Magazine's App of the Year Readers' Choice Award.

Are you a Pinterest ‘pinaholic’? Do you love the vintage feel of Instagram? Are you addicted to Draw Something? Show support for your favourite app and vote for them in Apps Magazine Best Apps of Year Awards new Readers’ Choice category.

As well as those mentioned above, the 10  iPhone, iPad and Android apps nominated in this category include Songpop, Netflix, Endomondo Sports Tracker, Rdio, Paper by FiftyThree, Khan Academy and Google Chrome.

“With this award we wanted to recognize our readers, who regularly share their favourite apps with us on Twitter and Facebook,” said Jack Parsons, Apps Magazine Deputy Editor. “We encourage all of them to get behind their overall favourite app of the year and take part in the Awards.”

Other categories in the Apps Awards 2012 will be decided by the Apps Magazine team and include the Best Free App, the Best App for Kids, the Best App for Style, the Best App for Innovation, the Best App for Gaming and many more.

However, the most coveted prize of all is the Best App of the Year Award, won last year by The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr Morris Lessmore. The Apps Award turned out to be a sign of things to come for developer Moonbot Studios, as the short film this interactive novel was based on went onto win an Oscar.

You can vote for the Readers’ Choice award on the Apps Magazine website and all the award winners will be revealed in issue 27 of Apps Magazine, on sale in the UK and for digital download on Thursday 6 December.
