BBC News review

The Android official app for the BBC keeps you up to date with all the latest news headlines. Read on for our full review.

BBC News is the world’s largest broadcast news organisation and the service’s online news coverage is without doubt a well established source of up-to-date news, not least of all because it employs a global network of journalists and correspondents.

The BBC News app provides instant access to the latest breaking news from around the world in real time.

Stories are arranged in easy to use categories and these include UK news, world news, top stories, business, politics, sport, education, science and technology. News clips are embedded in stories and navigation is a breeze.

You can even stream the BBC News Channel live to your Android phone if you have access to a Wi-Fi or 3G network or share stories with others via email, Facebook or Twitter. Tap the Edit button and can reconfigure the news categories to suit your interests.

The app does a great job of gathering and presenting the latest news and current affairs, but be aware that the odd bug does still exist and this can cause the app to occasionally close without warning.
