The real-time Ascii art conversion of Google Street View panorama’s is produced with the assistant of WebGL. The site explores the potential that WebGL has to offer. To fully appreciate the Ascii Street View in all its potentially gorgeous glory the site needs to be seen in Chrome, Firefox 8+, or another browser that supports CORS WebGL textures.
The site was coded by @peter_nitsch. Inspired by Sol’s TextFX library and built with @thespite’s Google Street View Panorama library, and three.js.
