Apple has set a release date for its flagship desktop Mac, the Mac Pro.
Announced by Apple’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, Phil Schiller, the completely redesigned Mac Pro will hit online and retail stores ‘before the end of the year’ in December.
The Mac Pro’s specs are nothing short of impressive, but they come at a cost – the new model will set you back $2999.
Compared to previous models, the new Mac Pro looks radically different, with a single fan and a unified thermal core informing the machine’s cylindrical design.

The Mac Pro doesn’t disappoint on the specs front by any stretch of the imagination, with an Intel Xeon E5 processor, four channels of DDR3 memory, two AMD FirePro CPUs with a combined 12GB of dedicated VRAM and PCI Express Flash Storage.
