Rumours about the appearance and functionality of iOS 8 went into overdrive this week, with new screenshots offering suggestions in to potential new apps for the operating system.
Posted to Twitter, the screens not only hinted at the much anticipated arrival of Healthbook, but also iOS debuts for TextEdit and Preview. This could seriously improve the integration between Mac and iOS, and place more emphasis on iCloud too.
In other iOS device news this week, an Apple patent that involves the hardware around the camera lens system has got the Internet talking about the possibility of allowing third-party accessories to screw onto the camera’s lens.
Great lens attachments like the Olloclip currently slide over the lens, but this new system could potentially enable users to directly attach extras to their iPhone.
iWatch rumours also refuse to go away, with another patent application being the source of the excitement. This time it’s a pedometer for the iPod Nano.
A recent application suggests Apple wants to put movement tracking technology in its music player, and this could then potentially extended to the much-discussed iWatch.
