Apple is preparing to bring its iPhone trade-in program to the UK and Europe, according to 9to5Mac.
The report, which cites ‘a reliable’ source, suggests that Apple is beginning to roll out training on the trade-in program to a small number of UK stores.
The trade-in program itself, known as Reuse and Recycle, will allow iPhone owners to take bring their old model to any Apple retail store and have it recycled in return for discount on a new device.
The discount value will be based on the old device’s condition and will be provided in the form of a gift card.
The trade-in program launched in US stores back in August but has yet to make its way over the pond to Europe.
