The Cupertino company might be busy working on its next major iOS update, iOS 7, but it’s still pushing out minor updates on a per-device basis. iOS 6.1.4 for the iPhone 5 is one such update, providing little more than an updated speaker profile.
iPhone 5 users can update their devices now by heading to Settings>General>Software Update and hitting the Download and Install button. The update itself weighs in at 11.5 megabytes, which 9to5Mac reckon is pretty high, but it’s worth noting that Apple often include smaller, behind-the-scenes bug fixes and security patches that aren’t always listed.
Although the update is small and seemingly a little insignificant, we’d always recommend keeping up with them, if only to remove the annoying badge on the Settings icon.
