Apple has seeded the first beta of OS X 10.8.4 to members of the AppleSeed programme and registered developers.
The update, which Apple warns cannot be removed by reverting to a previous operating system, comes with a request for users to focus specifically on Wi-Fi, graphics drivers and Safari. It’s not yet clear whether this request will translate to new features or simple bug fixes.
The 10.8.4 beta release comes just over two weeks after Apple made OS X 10.8.3 available to the public. Around this time last year, we saw the announcement of OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion, with Apple hinting that they would move towards an annual release schedule for the operating system.
