Apple has asked its suppliers to ship both low-end and high-end iPhone models in early September, according to The Wall Street Journal.

The report, which cites ‘people familiar with matter’, suggests that Apple may choose to launch both iPhones on the same day, presumably at its all-but-confirmed 10th September event.

The Cupertino company is reported to have asked its supplier, Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. (better known as Foxconn), to begin shipping both a new low-end and new high-end model.

The two models are rumoured to be the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, both of which have been at least partially revealed in part leaks since Apple’s Asian supply chain were reported to have begun production of the devices back in June.
