Apple announces new versions of iLife and iWork for iOS and Mac

iPhoto, GarageBand, iMovie, Pages, Numbers and Keynote are now optimised for iOS 7 and updates for OS X with new features and refreshed UIs to match, available today for free.

Apple’s Senior Vice President of Internet Software and Services today announced new versions of GarageBand, iPhoto, iMovie and more.

The apps, which have been updated for both iOS and OS X, will be available for download today for free.

Each app features a new, iOS 7-style icon, a refreshed UI and brand new features including 16-track recording on the iPad, picture books for iPhoto and more.

iWork has also received a significant upgrade with a refreshed UI across Pages, Numbers and Keynote.

In Pages for iOS, for example, a new formatting toolbar appears above the software keyboard and the same toolbar appears alongside your documents in OS X.

iWork for iCloud also received a significant upgrade in the form of collaborative documents where edits can be made by more than one user in real-time.
