I gave my sister an iPod touch for Christmas and since then have been hard pressed to find any particularly girly apps for the device.
Fortunately, she’s quite a tech-savvy girl and has managed to uncover some female favourites on the App Store among the gender-neutral classics.

Although this app only features American celeb gossip, it’s fantastic for providing you with up to the minute news stories from Hollywood. Particularly good if you’re a fan of American reality shows such as The Hills.

This app is brilliant; a daily updated gallery of celebrity photos ensure that you’re way ahead of the game when it comes to who’s doing what with who.

Allows you to apply various celebrities’ hairstyles to any of your photos. Although this app is initially amusing, the novelty wears off pretty quickly. Not really worth the money unless perhaps you’re really struggling to decide on a new hairstyle!
