App Review – Scribble Chat

Developer: Insight4
Category: Business
Price: £0.59

If you’ve seen PictoChat running on a Nintendo DS then you’ll quickly pick up this neat application that allows two or more iPhone users to share drawings and messages over a local Wi-Fi network. The setup process is as easy as creating a room on one iPhone and other users opting to join it when connected to the same network. From there the application works like any instant-messaging application with messages displayed in chat bubbles from each user. What makes this application unique by comparison to other apps is the drawing element which offers some clever features like copying a friends drawing in order to update it. For collaborating on projects with colleagues or passing a quick note in a classroom, this application has all the answers. You can even opt to ‘nudge’ friends by shaking your iPhone. A brilliant app for fun or serious business work.
