App Review – Say Who Lite

Developer: Dial Directions
Category: Navigation
Price: Free

Not everybody has a PA on hand to ask where particular locations are, and there’s not always a friendly police officer available to point you the right way. The next logical option is to dive into the iPhone Maps application and pinpoint your target. Say Who – Voice Maps combines all of the scenarios into one very easy-to-use app. Rather than typing out the exact address into Maps or scroll your way across the map until you find the location you’re after, you can simply push a button and speak into the iPhone’s microphone. Kick off with the city and state and then get into the finer details like street or service, each time holding the Push To Talk button on screen. This app isn’t going to win any design awards, but what it lacks in style it more than makes up for in usefulness. Next time you’re looking for anything from a street to sushi, this app will save you a lot of time. Unfortunately, this app is currently only available in the US but, for those there, you won’t want to miss this one.
