App Review – iSpace 3D

Screen shot 2009-09-16 at 12.26.32
Developer: David Hahn
Category: Entertainment
Price: £1.19

Essentially a clock with a 3D background, iSpace 3D allows you to submerge yourself with a never-ending galaxy. Watch as stars, galaxies, dust and planets whiz by the screen. An accompanying music track helps you to immerse yourself in the app. By tapping on the screen, four buttons appear. They allow you to move the camera by tilting your iDevice, fix the clock in the centre of the screen or allow it to float by in 3D, and mute the audio. We found it fun to tilt the device to an interesting angle and then lock the camera; by doing so it’s easy to imagine the screen as a window into outer space. If you’re looking to relax for a few moments, the combined audio and visuals in the app will help you to do just that. But we find it hard to justify the price.
