App Review – Freshwater Aquarium

Freshwater Aquarium is a great example of when a developer takes an idea and runs with it. You’re given a choice of three customisable fish tanks, which you can fill with an assortment of fish. By tapping the feed button and then the screen you can drop food into the tank. Tap on the info button and a window will pop up with stats on the fish. You can also go fishing to catch new breeds. This involves dropping a line into a virtual lake, waiting for it to begin to bob, and then tapping the line. A brief mini-game appears, where you’re required to reel in fish without breaking the line. With more options than we ever expected, the detail within this app will keep you entertained for hours.
