App Review – FlipBook

flipbook

Developer: Josh Anon
Category: Entertainment
Price: £5.99

As the name suggests, this app allows you to create animated flip books using your iPhone. Aside from the cool factor of being able to draw using your finger on the iPhone’s touch screen, you also get a range of features and a very good interface built in to this modestly priced app. Features include the ability to add layers, change brush-stroke size, add photographs, zoom in and out and easy page to page navigation for full control over your animations. Anyone who has had any experience with applications like Photoshop will be instantly hooked on the feature set and intuitive nature of the application. For complete beginners there is a pre-loaded flip book that features hints and tips, as well as all the gestures that can be used as an equivalent to keyboard shortcuts on a full sized Mac app. For £5.99 you get a great deal from this application. If you are the kind of person who loves to doodle then this app is the perfect accompaniment to a long train journey. On top of all this you can also upload and view other FlipBook creations at www.flipbook.tv.
