HTC embracing Android in the UK

ComScore MobiLens, a service which analyse media trends, have announced that just over 50% of all UK Android phones are manufactured by HTC.

The news is even more impressive when you consider that their closest rival, Samsung, has only a share of 21%, and Sony Ericcson hold just 14%.

Other recent news to come from ComScore’s analysts is that almost 20-million people are now using Android mobiles in Europe, with 6.7 million of these users coming from the UK.

Across the EU, HTC owned the largest share of the Android device market at just over 34%.
