The Amazon Fire Phone has seen its price slashed from $400 to £99 for one day only. Consumers have until midnight tonight (Wednesday 28 January) to pick up an Amazon Fire Phone for a quarter of its usual retail price.
The phone launched in the UK at the end of September to a pretty lukewarm response and sales haven’t been spectacular so the online retail giant will be hoping that this flash sale will be enough to convince customers to try out the 32GB handset.
Critics of the phone say that the display lacks clarity and the camera is little more than decent, but it does have a pretty quick processor. If you’re looking for a second phone for games and not much more then it might be worth taking advantage of this deal but otherwise we would recommend caution in leaping toward this seemingly amazing bargain.
The phone is only available on the O2 network but is unlock able after you run down your contract, while PAYG customers will have to wait 12 months before they can unlock it.
If you’re tempted, head here by midnight tonight to pick up an Amazon Fire Phone. Are you thinking of getting one? Have you got one already? Let us know.
