New photos posted on Chinese social media site Weibo allegedly show iPhone 6 schematics, chassis sketches and production tools from inside a Foxconn factory. The images, posted on the microblogging site, are reportedly from inside the factory of Apple’s production partner, and show detailed schematics and sketches of the next iPhone, as well as the tools being used for moulding the iPhone 6’s shell.
While the images’ validity cannot be confirmed, it is the latest in a long run of leaked photos and information about Apple’s next device. Last month blurry images supposedly showed an iPhone 6 rear shell in production, and before that we saw detailed drawings of the iPhone 6, including precise sizes, and cases that matched the designs.
Combined with a recently released internal Apple report, which explained the need to compete with opposition companies making larger-screened devices, the various leaks point towards two devices launching later this year. Apple is expected to ship two devices this year, with a 4.7-inch model launching in September, and a larger 5.5-inch iPhone launching towards the end of 2014.
