It’s been a long time coming since Apple launched the 15″ MacBook Pro with Retina Display, but Adobe have finally released a Retina update for Photoshop and Illustrator. The update, totalling a conservative 129MB, is already on Adobe’s servers so if you’re lucky enough to own a MacBook Pro with Retina display, now is the time to update. There’s also another couple of updates included here, including Smart Object support for the blur gallery and liquify as well as the ability to export text and shapes and CSS. So, even if you’re not running a Mac with a retina display, it’s still worth downloading.
Users of other Adobe apps included Dreamweaver, Premiere Pro and Prelude will have to wait a little longer, though. Adobe have revealed plans to make these apps “HiDPI” ready, but there’s no specific timescale given for these updates.
