4G in the UK: EE announce 17 more cities to receive 4G service by March 2013

EE, the UK's first 4G provider, has announced the next wave of cities to receive 4G service. Is 4G coming to your area soon?

For many, the chance to own a 4G device, let alone have a 4G connection in their area, may not come to fruition for a year or two yet. EE are looking to have 97% of the UK 4G connected by the end of 2014, and the next wave of cities is a sure sign of intent by EE to fulfill this promise.

By March 2013, EE plans to bring its LTE services to the following:

  • Bradford
  • Chelmsford
  • Coventry
  • Doncaster
  • Dudley
  • Leicester
  • Luton
  • Newport
  • Reading
  • Rotherham
  • St Albans
  • Sunderland
  • Sutton Coldfield
  • Walsall
  • Watford
  • West Bromwich
  • Wolverhampton
